Why would a food product be labelled both 'halal' and 'suitable for vegetarians'? - halal food company
About half an hour before, I have bought a packet of sweets, blackcurrant and liquorice and about 25 minutes, I noticed a sticker on the back of the packaging indicates that the product is a product is halal "and" suitable for vegetarians . I thought, "halal" in the sense of what is consumed, according to Muslims, only refers to meat, so why require a product of these two labels, or do you think one of the largest companies for clever things for the consumer label to overcome the possible lack of common sense?

It contains a lot of jelly, which is of bone and cartilage. Most commercial gelatin made from bones and pork is not kosher or halal.
ReplyDeleteI grew up Jewish, and I learned to read food labels, you'd be surprised how many common types of candy on gelatin. This is not just for jam and jelly beans, beans, sweets and chocolate, and even with a soft core.
Not sure about halal, but I am sure that meat products are not kosher, if you are in contact with food that was not kosher get into production.
Muslims are allowed to eat meat / meat products, but not vegetarian.
ReplyDeleteAngelita candy or meat was produced in them.
